When Does Lamisil Cream Be Used?

The cream can be applied directly to the skin twice a day. This is usually used when athlete’s foot is not being treated with medication. The cream should only be used once or twice a day. Once a day you may apply the cream twice a day.

For athlete’s foot the infection should be treated with a medication such as Lamisil Cream. If the infection does not clear after twice a day treatment with Lamisil Cream or any medication such as Lamisil Cream is advised. Lamisil Cream should not be used in combination with a topical antifungal treatment such as a cream..

Lamisil cream side effects

Get emergency medical help if you have any of the following symptoms worsen or become worse after using this medicine:

  • pain or redness of the skin, often localized in one or both legs
  • hoarseness, feeling very uncomfortable or having difficulty breathing
  • swelling of the face, lips or tongue
  • pain or discomfort in the joints or surrounding areas (redness, swelling or tenderness)
  • pain, redness or swelling of the skin or blistering
  • difficulty swallowing or breathing
  • yellowing of the skin or the whites of the eyes
  • unusual tiredness, mood or behavior changes (such as aggression, mood that is difficult to talk or feeling restless)
  • rash, itching or hives on the skin

Although rare, some of the side effects of Lamisil Cream may go away after a few days or even weeks. If this does not go away after a few days or weeks, see your doctor or pharmacist.

Serious side effects of Lamisil Cream

Call your doctor straight away if you have any of the following symptoms that bother you or become worse:

  • skin irritation, itching or rash
  • trouble breathing or swallowing
  • swelling of the feet or legs
  • unusual tiredness or mood or behavior changes (such as aggression, mood that is difficult to talk or feeling restless)

Lamisil is a prescription medicine usually administered to uphabi areas of the UK. Always read the label and follow the directions. Do not use Lamisil if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Interactions

Lamisil should be administered with a lower dose of medicine, but not with another medicine. However, other prescription medicines such as Terbuzumura can increase the effect of Lamisil if the same area has a higher concentration of Terbuzumura which can cause problems. Do not take Lamisil with any other types of medicine. When prescribed Terbuzumura can cause a false reaction when taken with alcohol.

LamisilAT Cream has a triple-action formula:

  1. Relieves itching, burning, cracking, and scaling symptoms caused by athlete’s foot and ringworm

Directions for use:

Adults aged 16 years and over:

  • Rub in gently. When used between the toes, buttocks or on the groin, the treated area may be covered with a light, fresh gauze strip, especially at night.

  • Even though you will not be using Lamisil AT 1% Cream during the second week, full skin healing after the infection has cleared will continue for up to 4 weeks. If you have not noticed any signs of improvement within 2 weeks of first starting treatment, please seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.

DO NOT use Lamisil AT 1% Cream if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients in the product (see below).

The cream is NOT recommended for use on children under 16 years of age.
